Major Sponsors
Powered by Entergy: Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee is located in Vernon, Vermont and provides a third of Vermont’s electricity by generating safe, clean and reliable nuclear power. Part of Entergy’s relationship with Harris Hill includes funding the electrical lines for the ski jump, which will be buried and installed in the spring.
Protected by the Richards Group: Established in 1867, The Richards Group is one of the region’s leading insurance, employee benefits and financial services firms, serving over 10,000 clients in the tri-state area of NH, Vt. and Mass. With more than 70 employees, The Richards Group is a full-service independent insurance agency providing a comprehensive array of services for individuals, families, and businesses, including retirement planning and investment management strategies. The firm currently has offices in Brattleboro, Norwich, Bellows Falls, Wilmington, Vt. and Keene, NH.
Powdered by Mount Snow: Mount Snow is Vermont’s southernmost mountain, located just four hours from New York City and 2.5 hours from Boston. It was founded in 1954 by Mr. Walt Schoenknecht, a man whose vision defied conventional wisdom. Never mind the heated outdoor pool at the foot of the mountain or the manmade geyser he installed in the snowmaking pond – this guy actually commissioned the Atomic Energy Commission for a permit to explode an underground nuclear device on the North Face, hoping to create a Rocky Mountain-style ski bowl. For some reason, the Commission rejected his request.
